Police Arrest Teen After Spotting a Gun on Live Stream

The Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a Glen Burnie teen on gun charges after they observed him on a live stream on social media.

On October 4, 2023, Anne Arundel County Police detectives observed a subject on a social media livestream removing a black handgun with an extended magazine from a purse.

Detectives identified the location where the subject was walking and attempted to make contact with him in the 6400 block of Freedom Drive in Glen Burnie.

Upon seeing the detective’s vehicle, the suspect, a 19-year-old Glen Burnie resident, fled on foot and discarded the purse. The suspect was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

Detectives recovered the purse, which contained a black handgun with 24 rounds of ammunition, a 30-round extended magazine, and a black Glock handgun with eight rounds of ammunition. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
