The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to a two-alarm blaze this morning in an Annapolis neighborhood that is not served by fore hydrants.
The initial call came in at 6:21am on Thursday, January 30, 2020 for a house fire in the 3500 block of Newport Avenue in the Arundel on the Bay community.

Arriving firefighters were met with heavy fire on one side of the house and it quickly escalated, fully involving the house and threatening the neighboring structure. (Photos: AACoFD)
According to a tweet sent out by the fire department, there are no injuries at this time.

At this time, crews are still cleaning up. No cause has been determined, nor has a damage estimate been released; however neighbors say that the home appears to have been completely destroyed.
